Madame Stir Krazy

Madame Stir Krazy Midnight Doesn’t Listen

Midnight Doesn’t Listen is a haunting and soulful blend of jazz and lofi production crafted by Groove Kennedy to honor the voice of Madame Stir Krazy, also known as Lady Stir Krazy. Built around her vocals recorded before her untimely passing in 2022, the album serves as both a tribute and a continuation of her creative spirit.

After her passing, Groove Kennedy was entrusted with a hard drive containing her recordings and was given full artistic control to shape the music she left behind. He builds each track with smoky keys, late-night drums, and textured ambience that lift her voice into a new space while keeping her original tone intact. The result is an intimate conversation between past and present, carrying her artistry forward with care.

This album marks the beginning of a five-part posthumous series from Madame Stir Krazy that will be released through Jesus Rode a Dinosaur. Midnight Doesn’t Listen stands as the first chapter in preserving her sound, her story, and the world she left behind. It is an album she hoped would capture the soul of 1920s jazz with a modern mix that brings her timeless style into today’s sound.
